In 2016 Julia relocated to Melbourne, where she was a Senior Associate at two pre-eminent family law firms.  Julia served on a sub-committee of the Family Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria and was a presenter at family law continuing legal education seminars.  Julia also volunteered at WEstjustice, a community legal centre in Melbourne.

She returned to Perth in 2020.

Julia specialises in complex property and other financial matters arising from relationship breakdowns. She advises clients on general parenting issues including relocating children and issues of drugs and violence. Julia has a keen interest in cross jurisdictional issues, complex parenting matters involving risk issues and applications to review and set aside court orders.

Julia listens to and works closely with her clients to implement parenting arrangements and formalise property settlements which meet their particular interests or needs. She combines her extensive family law knowledge with a practical and pragmatic approach to ensure she can obtain the best possible outcome for her client.
